As part of their continued growth strategy, our client is seeking an experienced Trader for their new trading team in Hong Kong, with a primary focus on the Asia bunker markets. Backed by strong financial support, our client offers one of the most competitive compensation packages in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and gain market share in APAC, focusing on back-to-back trades in the Asia shipping markets.Bring an established and transferable book of end-user clients to the organization, while actively pursuing new bunker enquiries in these markets.Monitor bunker market trends, pricing fluctuations, and developments, providing strategic insights for market penetration and growth.Assess and mitigate risks associated with bunker trading activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards specific to the region.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of back-to-back bunker trading experience
- Team player and ability to motivate and work within a diverse team.
- A transferable book of business within the APAC shipping markets.
- A strong network of connections in the bunker fuels industry, covering suppliers and customers.
- Fluent in English & Mandarin / Cantonese
- This position is based in Hong Kong, HKSAR
