Consortio has partnered with a market leading shipyard to support them in elevating the company to the next level through the acquisition of a CEO who can mirror, emphasise and execute the ambition of the Board of Directors.
Our client is at the forefront of innovation, boasting a yard that covers 100 acres. This extensive facility is equipped with several ‘graving docks ‘and a ‘floating dock’ that can comfortably accommodate VLCCs, quays and piers, offering a total berthage capacity of over 3000m. Further to this, our client’s impressive shipyard houses a range of workshops ideally situated in front of the drydocks which also hosts a fully functional fabrication area and on-site sub-contractor facilities, thus promoting the shipyard's wide range of capabilities.
The role of CEO will have you developing vision, mission, business strategy, objectives and broad policies, in coordination with the Board of Directors by considering the regional and global competition, market and political conditions as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the company. You will be fully responsible for the finacnial performnace of the company by utilizing existing facilities, product segment and also developing new concepts, products and services. Key to any C level role will be your desire to lead and direct the management through continuous improvement of functional systems, processes and practices taking into account international best practice, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.

To be suitable for this role you will:
- Be degree educated (preferably in engineering).
- Hold extensive exposure to Shipbuilding market.
- Have great understanding of the commercial aspects of shipbuilding market.
- Have excellent experience in Shipyard management.
- Hold strong and proven negotiation skills with third parties, governments and partners.
- Possess strong leadership skills – Confident and a self-starter.
- Have an ambitious and trustworthy personality.
- Be a true team builder.
- Have great people skills and understand how to offer excellent customer service.
