Consortio have partnered with one of the world’s largest suppliers of insurance and adjusting solutions who are starting a 5-year growth plan after a long and continued period of success and financial investment. Our client has a workforce of over 3000 globally, with offices in more than 100 locations in 30 countries and are looking to add a Coating Inspector to their talented Marine and Offshore adjusting team in their state-of-the-art Singapore office. Our client works with a diverse group of blue-chip international customer base and aim, over the next half-decade, to expand their specialist capabilities.
In this role as a Coating Inspector, you will be expected to carry out a range of specialsed marine coating consulting surveys, including forensic and damage investigations, as well as inspections and audits of cargo and ballast tank coatings. As a senior member of the adjusting team, it will be your responsibility to assess vessel coating defects such as scratches, peeling and blistering, as well as critical application mistakes to prepare accurate and timely reports to assist the claims adjusting team. The best candidate’s for this job will have experience working in high-pressure environments over a prolonged period of time, such as acting as an expert witness for several high-profile and sensitive cases. Our client will also expect the successful candidate to undertake gradual but continued business development tasks.
To be considered for this job you must:
- Have previous experience inspecting marine and offshore coatings, preferably for a consultancy
- Have a BSc, MSc or PHD in Chemistry or Chemistry related field
- Speak and write fluently in English
- Be a strong and professional communicator
- Have demonstrable experience of working in a high-pressure environment
