As the Dredging Works Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the on-site execution of dredging projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications. Your role includes managing and coordinating the daily activities of the dredging team, equipment, and subcontractors. From planning to execution, you will be instrumental in optimizing dredging operations, monitoring progress, and proactively addressing any challenges that may arise.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and environmental specialists, will be key in achieving project objectives. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout the works. Regular reporting on project status, resource allocation, and performance metrics to senior management will be a fundamental aspect of this role.
Requirements: The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a proven track record as a Works Manager in dredging projects. In-depth knowledge of dredging techniques, equipment, and relevant regulations is essential. Strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to make critical decisions in a dynamic environment are paramount. Proficiency in project management tools and a demonstrated ability to manage resources efficiently are also prerequisites.
