Consortio is working with a very reputable client that are leaders in the dry-bulk sector, have multiple offices around the globe, and an impressive collection of partners. They are one of the fastest growing companies in their field and are still continuing to expand due to an increase in demand for their services. They primarily work with a wide range of bulk carrier vessels, and have an eye-catching business record.
A successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a range of dry-bulk vessels, as well as making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. The vessel operator will be expected to successfully and efficiently manage end-to-end operations of voyage and time-chartered vessels in order to maximise profits. They will be expected to maintain vessel status updates and partner closely with the chartering department, clients, outside vendors and shipboard staff. They will be responsible for 10-14 vessels, depending on type/size.
Due to the companies continued expansion, they are looking to take on a dry-bulk vessel operator to join their team in Singapore.
The right candidate will:
- Have the right to live and work in Singapore.
- Have a minimum of 2-4 years’ relevant experience.
- Have at least a relevant degree.
- Have excellent negotiation, numerical, and communication skills.
- Have an entrepeneurial flare, a positive working attitude, and show great initiative.
- Ideally have sea-going experience, but this is not mandatory.
