There’s a good chance you’ve never thought about becoming a bunker trader. If fact, you might not even know what this job is or what it entails! At its core, the function of a bunker trader is to be the engine that drives the shipping industry; sourcing and supplying fuel to the entirety of the world’s ships that every single one of us depend on day to day. This is an extremely lucrative career that can leads to tons of career development and financial success. To put this into context, some of the industry’s leading traders are taking home packages of between £200,000 to £400,000, inclusive of their commission.

Consortio are currently working exclusively with one of the sector’s most recognised and established brands in the search for a new, Junior Bunker Trader to join the London office’s ranks. 

This opportunity requires NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE as a bunker trader, as full training and mentorship will be provided by the business during a tailored, three-month traineeship programme. Over this time, you will gain an invaluable insight into the world of bunker trading through a development plan that will extensively cover bunker trading, bunker operations, and use of the company’s unique / exclusive trading tools that you are encouraged to take full advantage of. At the end of these three months, a mutual assessment will be held with a view to extending your traineeship into a permanent position as a bunker trader.
