Consortio have partnered with an offshore engineering consultancy based in the UK who, because of sustained success, are look for a Master Mariner to join their ever-growing team. Our client has built a reputation for providing industry leading offshore engineering services, focusing heavily on Marine Warranty Surveying, Transport and Installation of fixed and floating structures as well as offshore accident and casualty investigation. Our client has made a name in the market for setting industry trends and working on the most technologically advanced and demanding projects in the market.

In this role as a Master Mariner MWS, you will be expected to spend the majority of your time traveling the world and visiting project sites to undertake the review and approval of high-risk marine and offshore operations such as the transportation and installation of fixed platforms or floating structures. As the MWS on a project, it would be your responsibility to provide an independent review of engineering and design documents, and work with underwriters, contractors and sub-contractors and the end client to guarantee a project is carried out to the highest safety standards. The best Marine Warranty Surveyors are able to carry the weight of paramount responsibility for the health and safety of all workers on sight, and so to be successful in this role you must be able to work in a continuous high-pressure environment.

 

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • An unlimited Master ticket – Preferred experience includes sailing on offshore construction vessels
     
  • The right to live and work in the UK/EU
     
  • 1-3 Years’ experience as an MWS
     
  • The ability to work in high-pressure environments
     
  • The ability to communicate fluently in English – Written and oral
