Consortio are working in partnership with a ship owner that operates a fleet of over 10 modern and high tech commercial vessels ranging from 5000 DWT to 14,00 DWT. The head office is based in Canada boasting some of the most fuel-efficient vessels on the water which engage in global trade. This role will be office based with little to no expectation of travel as the company have a team of superintendents who undertake inspections and dry dockings. As a Fleet Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the safety management systems and monitoring all aspects of security and safety requirements of 10 dry cargo vessels. Further duties will include rapport with class societies and flag state to ensure that your vessels adhere to required regulations while preparing all reports and documents for the Superintendents. You will be an organised individual that has no concerns over planning and prioritising daily tasks and following them through with meticulous execution.
Successful candidates will
- Have sailed as a Chief Engineer.
- Be experienced as a Technical Superintendent.
- Have experience in Project managing Dry Docks.
- New Build experience will be considered an advantage.
- ?Be confident in setting fiscal budgets.
