Our client is a multi-prong service company who offer many services to the oil and gas and shipping sector. They themselves are a ship owner and have offshore support assets which work to help clients who own rigs or floating assets such as FPSO’s, FSRU’s, FLNG’s etc. They provide a mixture of shipping services as well as engineering consultancy such as design and conversion solutions of offshore assets. On the shipping side of the business they offer ROV services as well as transport and installation support to their clients. This business has a wide portfolio of services for what is still a small and nimble business that have been thriving during 2019/2020.
Our client needs to bring a person on to run their marine services business unit which contains a mixture of inspection and repair services from their ROV fleet as well as work to oversee finding solutions for installation and transportation of topsides etc. This role requires you to manage a team, control a P&L and be comfortable with developing a business plan to increase profit and turnover and then implement it.
To be suitable for this role you will:
- Have a suitable maritime qualification such as be an ex Master Mariner, Marine Engineer or Naval Architect.
- Have experience leading a marine services team, controlling budgets, have developed business through tendering for new client work and have a track record of winning it.
- Understand and have experience of the ROV/Heavy lift market (preferably).
- Have experience interfacing with Oil Majors the world over
- Have a Singapore PR or be a national as the client cannot get an EP.
