Consortio has partnered with a market leading shipyard to support them in elevating the company to the next level through the acquisition of a Training Manager who can mirror, emphasise and execute the ambition of the Board of Directors.

Our client is at the forefront of innovation, boasting a yard that covers 100 acres. This extensive facility is equipped with several ‘graving docks ‘and a ‘floating dock’ that can comfortably accommodate VLCCs, quays and piers, offering a total berthage capacity of over 3000m. Further to this, our client’s impressive shipyard houses a range of workshops ideally situated in front of the drydocks which also hosts a fully functional fabrication area and on-site sub-contractor facilities, thus promoting the shipyard's wide range of capabilities.

This is a role for a Head of Training to manage the shipyard instruction. You be responsible for setting the strategic vision of this institute and ensuring this vision becomes a reality. A good relationship with flag state and maritime authorities will be needed to ensure simulator development can be maximised. Under your remit will be managing ten members of staff including five instructors. It will also be your responsibility to allocate the institutes budget making sure it is run profitably.


  • Degree Educated
  • 5 plus years related experience in shipyard training.
  • Experience in ADDIE cycle in learning and development
  • Able to relocate to Middle East
