Our client is an internationally renowned ship owner who are currently expanding their fleet over the next 3 years. Our client is also diversifying currently by bringing new vessels to their fleet to respond to the ever-increasing need of mobile production platforms. They currently own a sizable fleet of LNG vessels as well as offshore assets, tankers and dry cargo ships.  Due to expansion, they are currently looking to hire an Internal Audit Manager to take charge of Europe and Africa under the guidance of the GM of Corporate Audit.
 

In this role you will be responsible for timely execution of risk based internal audits and assisting in audit projects.  Alongside the company’s audit division, you will be conducting risk assessments of assigned departments.  Verbally communicating to the senior managers and holding them to account to ensure the business pulls in the same direction.  You will need a strong skillset in financial modelling and auditing to succeed in this role.

 

To be suitable for this role:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance.
     
  • Qualified accountant.
     
  • Financial experience required.
     
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team.
     
  • Strong communication skills.

 

This is a huge opportunity for anyone who has desires on getting involved at the start of auditing projects and getting the thrill of working across auditing and financial assignments which are yet to come to life. There will be a great deal of responsibility and autonomy awarded to this person and obviously there will be people management involved with varying sizes of teams depending what area of the business you will be auditing.
