Due to reorganisation our client is looking to hire an IT support Engineer for a 12-month fixed term contract. They are not expecting the applicant to have shipping experience and are open to accept applications from IT professionals who come from different industries. Providing the right candidate, the chance to move work into a industry renowned for its job security. In this role you will be expected to manage a variety of 1st to 3rd level support requests as well as to aid troubleshooting IT issues within the organisation. The successful candidate will have the chance to travel internationally and work directly with colleagues onboard their vessels. Providing an exciting and unique opportunity to broaden your horizons and work withing the booming shipping industry.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- At least 1 years’ experience in an IT support role.
- Experience using Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Virtual storage solutions.
- A strong understanding of Firewall products.
- A ITIL v3 Foundation course.
- Flexibility to travel for around 2 weeks in the year.
- Strong desktop support skills with some level of knowledge on supporting servers.The right to live and work in the E.U
