About the Role
A leading shipyard specializing in custom-built vessels are expanding its engineering department. As Lead Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the design and technical execution of bespoke vessels from concept through to delivery.
You’ll be the technical lead on one or two projects simultaneously, guiding an international engineering team and ensuring all components are designed, ordered, and delivered on time. You will work closely with project managers and purchasing while overseeing the master 3D model and project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering activities throughout project lifecycle.
- Provide technical mentorship to the engineering team.
- Manage schedules for design and procurement tasks.
- Oversee the master model and update it weekly.
- Coordinate closely with purchasing and production teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across each project.
Candidate Profile:
- HBO or WO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.
- Strong command of English and Dutch (English is the primary language)
- Skilled in SolidWorks; Rhino and AutoCAD knowledge beneficial.
- Project management experience essential.
