Marine Consultant

A leading marine consultancy organisation is seeking a Marine Consultant to join its growing Marine & Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified marine professional to provide consultancy, marine assurance and survey services across a varied client portfolio. The role will involve office-based work alongside attendance at client sites, vessels and offshore locations.

The position can also suit a less experienced candidate, with training provided to develop into a more client-focused consultancy role.

You will be responsible for:

• Conducting marine surveys, inspections and document reviews.
• Attending client offices, sites, vessels and offshore locations.
• Preparing technical reports and documentation.
• Delivering project scopes accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Supporting marine assurance and MWS activities.
• Working with Engineering and Dynamic Positioning Managers on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Supporting client relationships and business development opportunities.Promoting best practice across the wider Marine team

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

• Egyptian citizen. 
• Hold a Master Mariner, Chief Officer or Chief Engineer qualification.
• Hold DPO Unlimited and/or DP Maintenance certification.
• Have strong communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Have a professional marine background.

The following would be advantageous:

• Onshore managerial experience.
• Classification Society or IRCA-approved survey/inspection experience.
• OVID AVI and/or CMID AVI qualifications.
• Marine survey and document review experience.
• Rig moving experience.
• Marine assurance, MWS, offshore or DP experience.
