Our client is a world leader in marine energy transportation, storage and production, managing a fleet of over 100 tankers comprised of gas, product and chemical.  They have offices located in over 15 countries giving them a truly global presence.  For this vacancy they are looking for a Marine Manger for their UK office.
 

Working as a Marine Manager in one of the UK’s shipping hubs you will be tasked with the ownership of the company’s Health, Safety, Security and Quality management system while adding your knowledge to the technical leadership team through development and improvement of current systems.  You will be serving as the DPA ensuring the safe operation of all vessels while providing a link between the office and crew on board.  Reporting directly to the Fleet Director who will be expecting you to re-invent the QHSE management system while keeping up to date to ever changing rules and regulations.
 

Key criteria for this role.

  • Sailed as a Master Mariner on LNGc.
     
  •  Have 3 Year’s experience as a Marine Superintendent (or similar) with Gas tankers.
     
  •  Good interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and interact with people at all levels. Spoken and written English essential.
     
  •  Be able to set and maintain fiscal budgets.
     
  •  Happy to live and work in Singapore.
