Our client is a 3rd party shipmanagement business who run a sizable fleet of bulk-carriers. They look to find quality conscious employees who will treat their brand as if it was their own. They invest heavily in their people and always seek to promote from within.

At present the company are seeking to bring a new Marine Superintendent in to their team to oversee the of aspect of Marine Safety on their sizeable fleet of bulk carriers. They would expect this person to on a daily basis be overseeing inspections across their fleet and writing reports based on your findings. It’s critical to ensure that the inspections are thorough and timely as well as liaise with the Marine team at HQ about any issues arising to hopefully deal with them proactively. The successful candidate will have plenty of experience working with geared-bulk carriers both at sea and in a shore-based position.

To be considered for this role you will:

Have sailed up to the rank of Master Mariner or Chief Officer on (geared) bulk carriers.
Have worked on shore for 2-3 years either in a Vetting or Marine Superintendent role.
Have plenty of audit and inspections experience.
Hold a valid Singapore PR or be a national.
Be a strong communicator, with a strong command of the English language.
