Consortio is proud to be working in partnership with a specialised organisation within the naval design and engineering sector, recognised for its commitment to creativity, precision, and technical innovation across a diverse range of commercial and leisure vessels. This collaboration reflects a shared dedication to delivering high-quality design solutions that elevate vessel performance, safety, and overall functionality. Together, we are seeking to attract an experienced professional to join a team that embodies collaboration, ingenuity, and engineering excellence.
As part of this partnership, we are seeking a Naval Architect to contribute to the development, optimisation, and validation of vessel designs across multiple project phases. The successful candidate will be involved in hull form development, structural engineering, stability assessments, rule compliance, simulation-based performance analysis, and real-world testing activities. This role offers the opportunity to work within an agile and multidisciplinary environment where problem-solving and innovation are integral to every project.
This position requires a strong technical foundation in naval architecture, hands-on experience with vessel design, and a proactive, solution-driven mindset. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of small craft or high-speed vessel engineering and the ability to apply creative thinking to complex marine design challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
- 2–5 years’ experience in vessel design, ideally within small craft or high-performance craft
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools such as Rhino or SolidWorks; parametric modelling experience is advantageous
- Solid understanding of hydrodynamics, stability principles, and structural design.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and class standards.
- Experience with aluminium or composite structures considered a strong advantage
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and documentation skills
- Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and within collaborative technical teams
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation operating at the forefront of naval design and marine engineering. If you are an ambitious Naval Architect eager to contribute to innovative vessel development and play a key role in delivering technically exceptional projects, we strongly encourage you to apply and become part of a team driving excellence across the maritime industry.
