Consortio have partnered with a global shipping giant that specialises in newbuild, conversion and retrofit services to shipyards and fleet owners around the world who are looking for an experienced FSRU newbuild site manager. Our client offers a comprehensive range of project specific technical management services, with recent projects including FSRU, RO-RO, LNGC, RO-PAX and FPSO new builds and conversions.
In this role as a Site Manager, you will be responsible for keeping the entire project on time and within budget. My client is looking for a site manager with ROPAX and other passenger ship conversion or new build experience, who has a proven track record of managing site engineers, project managers and machinery supervisors. To be successful in this role, it is vitally important you have a very clear and precise communication and planning skills given the unpredictable nature of ship building in the current global climate.The project is focussed on the construction of two dual-fuel ROPAX vessels, so Dual-Fuel or Diesel Electric propulsion system experience would be preffered.
Experience/Qualifications needed:
- Passenger vessel new build experience as a Site Manager/Project Manager
- The ability to travel to China
- Chinese shipyard experience a bonus
- A degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
- Fluency in English – Both written and oral
