Due to the previous incumbent being promoted they need to hire a New Buildings Project Manager.
 

This role will see you coordinate and manage the new build projects of our client by working closely with all on the new build team with core duties to issue and review specifications, coordinate the drawings approval process and liaising with other departments, attend the new build sites regally (3 months of the year total), maintain budgets and updates for ship construction as well as mange the delivery process and warranty items. It will also be important to maintain strong relationships with the suppliers including the yards and class societies, manage technical projects across the fleet and participate in the development of conceptual designs. You will get the pleasure of working on some of the worlds most sophisticated tankers and therefore this is a role that will provide constant challenges and problems to be solved.
 

To be suitable for this role you will be:

 

  • Degree educated in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
     
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience and have worked on at least one major newbuilding project from start to completion.  
     
  • Excellent understanding on ship design
     
  • Experience of being in yards and on site
     
  • Strong team player
