Consortio has partnered with a well-established engineering and industrial services provider recognised for delivering high-quality mechanical solutions to the maritime and heavy-industry sectors. With a strong reputation for technical reliability, precision workmanship, and long-term client partnerships, the organisation continues to expand its marine service capability to support increasing demand across the commercial vessel market.
As a Repair Mechanic, you will play a key role in supporting vessel maintenance, engine servicing, and mechanical repair activities across a wide portfolio of marine and industrial projects. Working onboard vessels as well as within workshop or yard environments, you will diagnose faults, carry out inspections, execute overhauls, and ensure all engineering work is completed to the highest industry standards. This role is ideally suited to someone with seagoing or shipyard experience, bringing strong hands-on capability and a solid engineering foundation.
The requirements for this role are:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably within the maritime or heavy-industrial sectors
- Experience gained either at sea (motorman, engine room technician, or engineering officer) or within a shipyard or mechanical workshop
- Strong hands-on capability in the servicing, repair, and overhaul of vessel engines and auxiliary machinery
- Ability to identify mechanical issues, conduct inspections, and complete repairs safely and efficiently
- Technical understanding of marine equipment, rotating machinery, pumps, engines, and key mechanical systems
- A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Eligibility to work within Europe.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a respected engineering organisation within the marine sector, providing hands-on work with vessels and advanced mechanical systems, strong long-term career prospects, and the chance to develop your technical expertise within a high-performing engineering team.
