The Role
A Senior Sales Representative is required to support the continued growth of a specialist maritime engineering company. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and building strong client relationships to drive long-term revenue. This is a high-impact, client-facing role with international reach and commercial responsibility.
You’ll be tasked with owning the sales process from prospecting through to deal closure, while working closely with internal engineering and project teams to align technical offerings with customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Identify and qualify new sales leads through cold outreach, networking, and referrals
- Present tailored solutions that align with client requirements
- Meet and exceed defined sales targets and KPIs
- Prepare compelling proposals, conduct presentations, and close sales contracts
- Research market trends and assess new opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity reports, and customer data
- Provide feedback to leadership on market intelligence and client needs
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and project alignment
Management & Reporting:
- Manage accurate forecasting, reporting, and sales budgeting
- Support recruitment and mentorship of junior sales staff
Business Development & Representation:
- Contribute to broader business development and positioning strategies
- Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and client events globally
Requirements
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in technical sales, ideally within the maritime sector
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead to close
- Comfortable translating complex technical solutions into client-friendly language
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Experience managing or mentoring junior sales representatives (preferred)
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed
