Who we are
Access Talent is a specialist recruitment company with a network of 7 offices and 55 staff. Access is one of four brands we use for different markets currently focused on the Maritime, Energy, Civil Engineering, Construction and Data Centres. We work with candidates that are earning anywhere from £50,000 to £250,000 a year. These candidates are aiming to find the best opportunities for their career and that’s what we offer them.
Our clients are major blue-chip companies with well-known names like BP and Shell, through to hundreds of names you may never have heard of. Our business is international, so we work with candidates and clients from all over the world and of course travel round the world to meet them. Our company is shooting to expand from 50 people to 100 people over the next 5 years. We are the kind of business where the owners are still hands on in the business, no offices but on the sales floor working with our team to be successful. The owners aren’t out golfing while you do the hard work!
The job
This role is attached to our latest brand which is called Archers. The mission for Archers is to build a leading recruitment brand that specialises in working on professional services roles which includes finance, marketing, HR, procurement, legal and tech/IT roles, so we are looking to hire a Senior/Lead Recruitment Consultant to help us growth.
As a wider group we have 500 clients that we have successfully recruited for in the last 5 years and a further 1500 business’s that have provided us jobs, but we haven’t yet converted to an invoiced client.
In the first instance we need a person who is keen to call these 2000 businesses and cross sell the Archers brand to our Access clients for easy wins. This should provide a warm jumping in point to building out a desk and making the brand successful. Once you are up and running, we would expect you to go wider than the initial 2000 client base with a strong focus on professional service recruitment in the Scottish markets. Don’t be fooled though, this isn’t a role where jobs are going to flow into your inbox on day one. You will only get jobs through outbound calling. Assuming you build a successful desk, the job offers management opportunity in year 2 so you can mentor and develop a team around you.
What experience do you need?
- Confident and positive as a person.
- Experienced 360 recruitment consultant with at least 12 months experience.
- Experience of building a desk very much preferred however attitude is more important than experience so if you have had a warm desk before but are happy to learn to be a builder then we are happy to mentor you. An ambitious person who would be keen on building a team.
- A very money motivated person. Our business has one heck of a commission scheme designed to thrill those that want to make a great living. A very hard worker. Our business is very results driven and if you’re not you won’t be a good fit.
- A person who wants to have fun while they work. We are a company full of banter and little airs and graces. If you’re looking for a suited and booted environment this is not the business for you.
What do I get out of this?
- You will take home between 40/50k in year one assuming you’re average. If you’re amazing £60k is entirely possible.
- Our commission scheme is uncapped but you have to build a desk so year one is always going to be toughest.
- Year 2 take home should be £55/60k if you’re average and we have 2nd year earners that have taken home just shy of 100k.
- We offer a flexible work set up on hours and assuming you’re financially performing at a high level you get a 4 day working week for 5 days wages.
