Consortio have partnered with a world-renowned Engineering and Offshore consultancy who are looking to expand their UK based team. Our client has stamped their name into the maritime engineering history books by proving themselves to be one of the biggest and innovative players in the market today and are striving to cement themselves as the go to consultancy in the maritime and offshore sectors. Because of our client’s repeat success, they are looking expand their UK based team and are looking for a Senior Naval Architect join an ever-growing and flourishing company.

As a Senior Naval Architect, you will be expected to contribute to engineering analysis and Marine Warranty Surveying related to offshore and marine operations. Such analysis includes, but is not limited to, structural and stability testing and analysis, development of floating vessel or fixed platform design, and risk assessments for offshore marine operations such as a subsea cable or platform installation for renewable energy and oil & gas projects. Due to the nature of our client’s work, the Senior Naval Architect will be expected to be comfortable in both office and on-site environments. This role provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to become an integral team member of the Naval Architecture team whilst also having an input on the commercial aspects of an Engineering consultancy.


The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • MEng / MSc in Naval Architecture or similar - BEng or BSc minimum
  • At least 5 years’ experience in offshore engineering
  • Achieved or is working towards Chartered Engineer Status
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Extensive experience with analysis tools
  • Experience with OrcaFlex/SESAM desirable
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
