Consortio is working with an established ship brokering company specialising in the dry cargo handy max size vessels, which is forecasted to grow dramatically in the coming years. The client is one of the leading brokering houses, their brokers have a wealth of knowledge and experience which has allowed themselves to expand their company across the globe and become the market leaders in their field. They're also hoping to branch out into the far east much more over the coming years as well as doubling the size of their team of brokers. The role is specifically for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career in ship brokering, ideally someone who has an established client base and portfolio.
Day to day a candidate will be expected continuously expand their client base, this will entail attending client meeting and a willingness to travel to increase the size of their portfolio. as well as maintaining a comprehensive database that detail all requirements for the purchase and vessels. Furthermore, a successful candidate will be expected to process dry cargo charter contracts, alongside both customer and clients.
To be eligible for this role you need:
• At least 2 years’ experience brokering dry bulk vessels.
• Has full command of the English Language.
• An additional language is preferable but not obligatory.
• A sales-based mindset and a strong, motivated, entrepreneurial mindset.
• Have the right to live and work within the UK.
