Consortio have partnered with an industry leading Design and Engineering company specialised in the detailed and complex design and engineering of sea-going cargo vessels. Our client works with some of the largest merchant vessel owners and operators in the world to provide bespoke vessel and system designs using the latest state of the art technology. Due to a sustained spike of interest in our client’s services, they looking to expand their design engineering teams, and have already taken on some Naval Architects and Project Engineers, but are now looking to find a proactive Systems Engineer specialised in P&ID.
In this role as a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the design and specification team by providing conceptual and detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure the finished vessel’s internal systems are performing at an optimal level. The P&ID Systems Engineer will be responsible for ensuring a safe and sustainable heat balance, controlling the layout of spacing arrangements as well as initiate and check routings. You will be required to use your technical knowledge to work in a pragmatic and safety focussed manner, as well be able to work independently to tight project deadlines.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Experience working as a systems/piping engineer
- Experience working with sea-going cargo vessels
- Have expert knowledge of 2D AutoCad and 3D Cadmatic software packages
- The ability to communicate fluently in English – Written and verbal
- Availability to start in the 4-8 weeks
