Our client is a ship owner and 3rd party ship management company that is utilizing a fleet of dry cargo vessels engaged in worldwide trade. This is a role for a Marine Purchaser to work with a fleet of owned dry cargo ships. You will monitor and process all fleet requests for new parts regarding the vessels under your management. A key part of this will be working closely with Superintendent’s to ensure spare parts are fit for purpose and bought at the most economical price. Under your remit, will also be handling incoming invoices and conducting analysis of supplier performance.
To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria;
- Degree (Preferably maritime related).
- 1+ year working in a maritime shore based role.
- Previous purchasing and/or supply chain management would be advantageous.
- Must speak fluent English.
- You must be have the right to live in the UK
