Our client is a leading provider of marine logistics and technical services, supporting a wide range of global transportation projects. With a focus on quality and precision, they deliver tailored solutions across complex marine operations. They are known for their reliability, professionalism, and ability to handle technically demanding assignments. The company supports clients operating in both commercial and private marine sectors.
Due to continued expansion they are looking for a Technical Superintendent to join the marine technical team. This position will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of yacht and commercial cargo stowage, lifting, and transport. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing highly detailed CAD-based lifting and lashing plans, transportation manuals, and cradle designs, all while ensuring the technical accuracy and safety of loadings. This is a varied and hands-on role suited for someone with a strong background in CAD, marine logistics, and engineering principles.
The requirements for the role are:
- Extensive experience in the commercial maritime sector
- Prolific user of Computer Aided Design (2D CAD essential; 3D an advantage)
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, naval architecture, and port/ship operations
- Familiarity with lifting equipment and rig design/use
- Skilled in preparing complex stow, lashing, and cradling plans
- Ability to calculate crane/lifting gear capacities and deck loadings
- Competent in Microsoft Office and adaptable with other software
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet fast-paced and evolving requirements
This is a permanent, office-based position located in the South East. You’ll be part of a global technical team supporting dynamic marine operations.
