Ship Management , Shipping & Maritime
Our client is a sizeable ship management company who have a deep foothold in both the dry and wet markets. With offices in all the core shipping locations you will always have the opportunity to progress and develop inside of the group. They have an open and positive management style with a policy of teamwork and a non-micromanagement mentality. This is a company that looks great on a CV and you can expect a long and prosperous career with them.
At this time our client seeks a Technical Superintendent to come and support them due to expansion and growth of their fleet. They are taking on 10 new ships in the coming months and really need some extra support to work with their Bulkers. Should you join they will ask you to look after 4 to 5 ships which will require overseeing their day to day technical management and of course planning their dry dockings. You will be joining as a senior member of the team and asked to mentor and develop the more junior team members. You will be the defacto deputy Fleet Manager and therefore will be considered for more senior roles as they organically come up.
To be successful in your application you will:
- Be a qualified Chief Engineer
- Have worked at least 3 years in the role of Technical Superintendent
- Have extensive experience with Bulkers
- Hold the right to live and work in the EU
- Have a positive and helpful personality that fits in with teams well
Our client offers excellent working conditions which includes a healthy basic salary plus company benefits package. They have proven time and time again to promote from within as well as focussing on managing people as individuals. The company is based in a country where the tax situation is much more reasonable than the rest of Europe.
