Our client is a ship management company who have a heritage in the shipping market that stems back over 40 years. They are one office of a larger group who keep a fleet of 190 ships globally. This particular office manages 90 ships split almost equally between wet and dry. They have had a strong performance over the last few years and are in a good place to be planning some strategic hiring. They are aiming to bring in the next generation of technical personnel to their team to deal with succession planning. They want to ensure that the members of staff going on to retire have time to pass on their valuable information and skills prior to their leaving.

At this time our client seeks a Technical Superintendent to come and support them due to expansion and growth of their wet fleet. They are taking on 10 new ships in the coming months and really need some extra support to work with their box ships. Should you join they will ask you to look after 3 to 4 container ships which will require overseeing their day to day technical management and of course planning their dry dockings.

To be successful in your application you will:

  • Be a qualified Chief Engineer

  • Have worked at least 3 years in the role of Technical Superintendent

  • Have extensive experience with container ships

  • Hold the right to live and work in the EU

  • Have a positive and helpful personality that fits in with teams well

Our client offers excellent working conditions which includes a healthy basic salary plus company benefits package. They have proven time and time again to promote from within as well as focussing on managing people as individuals.
