Our client is an American ship owner and manager that has access to a global network of some of the most sophisticated and innovative ships currently in operation.  With more than 120 vessels in its current fleet and more contracts being negotiated they are serious about securing their position as one of the leading shipping companies in the global market.  Striving to be the best in the market they have a history of winning business from their competitors while aiming to develop their staff to be industry leaders.
 

Due to a recent reorganisation of the technical team they require a Ship Superintendent to oversee the technical management of 3 to 4 container ships.  As well as supervising the technical activities for your assigned vessels you will also be responsible for all the engineers on board your ships ensuring they are completing the PMS as required.  You will be responsible for the performance of your vessels ensuing they are operating in a reliable and cost effective manner while limiting down time and cost during dry docks.  


Successful Candidates 


•    Would have sailed to a Chief Engineer on board container ships.

•    Should have previous shore based experience as a Ship Super/Tech Super.

•    Must have the right to live and work in the U.S.

•    Will have excellent communicative skills and be familiar with in PC systems.
