Our client is a global ship management company offering market leading technical services to its clients wherever they may be in the world. They pride themselves in ensuring that the vessels under their management are maintained and operated under strict guidelines to deliver optimum performance. This role in Belgium has become available due to a period of extended company expansion.
You will be responsible for the technical management of a variety of vessels powered by DF (electric) engines. You will be ensuring the engineers are performing their jobs correctly and keeping up with all work required by the PMS system. You will be coached and mentored by more senior members of the technical management team, ensuring your develop into a highly experienced senior Technical Superintendent over the coming years. You will manage vessel budgets and operating expenditure as well as dealing with the planning and implementation of dry dockings as required.
Successful candidates must:
- Have sailed as a Chief Engineer – 2 rotations
- Hold excellent command of the English language
- Have the right to live and work in the EU
- Be comfortable with planning and maintaining fiscal budgets
- Be prepared to travel between Belgium and the Netherlands on a semi-regular basis
