This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant or Junior Estimator who is looking for an opportunity to have a fantastic career with an award winning company and joining an already strong commercial team.
The role will be to assist with the pricing of tenders including completing subcontractor price comparisons and adjudication of subcontractor quotations. This is an office based role and full support will be given by the Estimating Manager and team.

Responsibilities
Assist with the tender submission and preparation of tender documents.
Production of bill of quantities – a full understanding of all elements is not a necessity but a good understanding of the principles SMM7/NMR2 would be required.
Splitting tender documents into subcontract packages.
Liaising with supply chain for chasing quotes etc.
Skills & Qualifications
A good understanding of tendering and estimating processes and procedures;
A keen eye for detail and strong numeracy and IT skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – communicates clearly, confidently, credibly and appropriately, and an effective listener;
A logical and methodical approach, with well-developed problem-solving skills;
Excellent planning and organisational skills;
Excellent telephone manner;
Ability to recognise and capitalise on opportunities;
Develops positive relationships with customers based on credibility and mutual respect;
Good understanding drawings and information received
Knowledge of Excel, Word and other computer software. Would be helpful to have knowledge of computer measurement software such as Bluebeam
We would be interested in someone who has one or two years’ experience in estimating or Quantity Surveying, with a keen eye for detail and is comfortable with mathematical calculations, i.e someone in the early years of their construction/estimating career who would like to progress in this field.
