Our latest client stands as the unrivalled leader in the global towage sector, a company marked by remarkable success and unwavering ambition, demonstrated through its expanding worldwide presence. With an impressive legacy of over 650 combined years, this enterprise has honed an adaptable approach that enables it to navigate a rapidly changing landscape. Bolstered by recent accomplishments and the acquisition of additional vessels, they have now initiated a recruitment effort.

They’re currently seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join the team, supporting the Technical and Operations division in optimizing vessel availability, both in technical specifications and operational readiness. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience with dry docks, ship repair projects, as well as contribute to damage reports, insurance claims, and budget management. This position will also provide insights into procurement, performance evaluation, and analytical processes. It's important to note that this is not a desk-bound role; you'll have the opportunity to travel and provide on-site support to vessels, contributing to a dynamic work experience.

To be considered, you should meet the following requirements:

• Hold a Higher Nautical college qualification

• Possess seagoing experience, either as an Engineer Officer of the Watch (EOOW) or in a similar role of at least two years

 • Demonstrate knowledge of Quality Management Systems

 • Exhibit familiarity with Classification and Flag state regulations, as well as related certificates

 • Have hands-on experience with Tugboats

 • Maintain a valid and clean driving license

 • Display excellent command of the English language, both in written and spoken forms

 • Showcase a genuine passion for the maritime industry

This role is within a tight-knit team situated in Southeast England, eagerly awaiting a proactive and collaborative addition. In return, you'll receive a competitive salary and the opportunity to build a stable shore-based career within a company that genuinely values its employees. You'll work alongside enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate colleagues who are dedicated to assisting you in your learning and skill development journey.
