Consortio is proud to be partnering with a highly respected and internationally recognised shipowner to recruit a Technical Executive for its Southampton office. With a modern fleet of container vessels operating across global trade routes, our client has built an outstanding reputation for delivering safe, reliable and innovative shipping solutions. Supported by an experienced technical team and a strong international presence, this is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that values collaboration, professional development and operational excellence.

As a Technical Executive, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day technical management of a fleet of container vessels. Working closely with the Fleet Manager and Technical Superintendents, you will be responsible for coordinating technical documentation, planned maintenance records, spare parts, vessel reporting and class compliance. You will also assist with dry dock planning, monitor vessel performance through fleet management software and ensure key technical data remains accurate and up to date. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop a long-term career within technical ship management while gaining exposure to all aspects of fleet operations in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Marine Engineering or a related discipline, with a Class 5, 4 or 3 Certificate of Competency considered advantageous.
  • 1–2 years of experience within a ship management company or vessel owner in a technical or engineering support role.
  • Previous experience using planned maintenance systems such as DNV, AMOS, BASSnet, PAL or similar fleet management software.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accurate technical records and reports.
  • A proactive team player with strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and a genuine desire to build a successful career within technical ship management.

If you're looking to take the next step in your technical shipping career and believe you have the skills and experience to succeed in this role, we would love to hear from you. Apply today to be considered, and if you know someone within your network who would be a great fit, please feel free to share this opportunity with them.
