As part of their continued growth strategy, our client is seeking an experienced Trader for their new trading team in the UK, with a primary focus on the UK and European bunker markets. Key Responsibilities
- Establish and gain market share in the UK, focusing on back-to-back trades in the UK and European shipping markets.
- Bring an established and transferable book of end-user clients to the organization, particularly in the UK and Europe, while actively pursuing new bunker enquiries in these markets.
- Monitor bunker market trends, pricing fluctuations, and developments in the UK and Europe, providing strategic insights for market penetration and growth.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with bunker trading activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards specific to the region.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their trading capabilities and performance.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of back-to-back bunker trading experience.
- Team player with the ability to motivate and work within a diverse team.
- A transferable book of business within the UK and European shipping markets.
- A strong network of connections in the bunker fuels industry, covering suppliers and customers in the UK and Europe.
- This position is based in the UK (Hybrid/Remote)
