Consortio Recruitment is proud to partner with a rapidly expanding Fuel Group as they enhance their global footprint in the bunker trading sector. As part of their continued growth strategy, our client is seeking an experienced Trader for their new trading team in the UK, with a primary focus on the UK and European bunker markets. Backed by strong financial support, our client offers one of the most competitive compensation packages in the market.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Establish and gain market share in the UK, focusing on back-to-back trades in the UK and European shipping markets.
  • Bring an established and transferable book of end-user clients to the organization, particularly in the UK and Europe, while actively pursuing new bunker enquiries in these markets.
  • Monitor bunker market trends, pricing fluctuations, and developments in the UK and Europe, providing strategic insights for market penetration and growth.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with bunker trading activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards specific to the region.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their trading capabilities and performance.

 

Key Qualifications & Experience

 

  • 2+ years of back-to-back bunker trading experience.
  • Team player with the ability to motivate and work within a diverse team.
  • A transferable book of business within the UK and European shipping markets.
  • A strong network of connections in the bunker fuels industry, covering suppliers and customers in the UK and Europe.
  • This position is based in the UK (Hybrid/Remote)
