Our client is a well-established and reputable maritime company, recognised for its high standards in fleet management, safety, and operational excellence. With a diverse fleet of Panamax vessels, the company has earned a strong reputation for delivering reliable, efficient, and industry-leading services across global markets. Focused on sustainable growth and innovation, they continue to expand their presence in key shipping markets, providing high-quality services to their clients while maintaining a commitment to safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.

To support their ongoing expansion, they are looking for a skilled Chartering Manager to join their team in Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the chartering activities for the company's Panamax vessels. Your key duties will include negotiating freight rates, finalising charter party terms, and ensuring optimal vessel utilisation. You will also leverage your own network and cargo connections to secure business, develop new opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with clients. Additionally, you will be expected to provide market analysis, coordinate with operations teams, and ensure the successful execution of chartering agreements.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a chartering role, with a strong focus on Panamax vessels.

  • Proven ability to independently leverage your own network and cargo connections for securing chartering deals.

  • In-depth knowledge of charter party agreements, freight markets, and vessel operations.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a forward-thinking company and advance your career in the shipping sector. The position offers a competitive salary, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to work with a dedicated team in Singapore.
