Consortio is proud to partner with one of the maritime industry’s most respected shipmanagement companies as they continue to expand their commercial team in Singapore. Renowned for their technical excellence, global footprint, and commitment to operational efficiency, this company has recently hired a Commercial Manager and—due to continued growth—is now looking to onboard another exceptional individual into this high-impact role. This partnership marks an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to join a business that values leadership, financial acumen, and strategic thinking.
The role of Commercial Manager is central to ensuring that vessels under full technical management are operated in strict accordance with contractual obligations and budgetary expectations. Reporting to top management, you will work closely with Technical Superintendents and Fleet Managers to develop and monitor vessel budgets, maintain open communication with shipowners, and oversee key financial reporting. This role requires strong commercial oversight, a deep understanding of the shipping industry, and a proactive approach to client relationship management. You will also be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of internal procedures and represent the company at international meetings when necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Must be a Singaporean Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR)
- Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or commercial position within maritime or shipmanagement; class or trading backgrounds preferred (not purchasing/logistics)
- Proven experience in vessel budgeting, financial control, and owner communication
- Strong command of English with excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings overseas
While Mandarin is a bonus, there are no mandatory language requirements. If you are keen on this role then please send all CV's to Jordan.williams@consortiorg.com.
