Consortio is proud to partner with our client, a distinguished organization leading critical navigation and technology initiatives within the maritime industry. As they embark on a large-scale replacement and upgrade program, our client is committed to enhancing standards, bolstering security, and creating exceptional user experiences. This partnership represents a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to maritime innovation and reliability across all its operations.

As a Field Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in a small team focused on the essential navigation systems that support the safe and efficient functioning of maritime operations. This position offers a competitive salary, engaging work at diverse and often unique locations, and an opportunity to work on an impressive suite of technology, including RADAR, VHF, and microwave systems. You’ll be responsible for both maintaining existing assets and driving forward the new program to upgrade and replace vital components of the navigation system. For motivated and proactive individuals, this role offers a chance to work outside the norm, managing unusual equipment and contributing to the seamless operation of essential services.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A degree in electronic engineering or related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced proficiency with electrical, electronic, and computer-based systems, especially in RADAR, radio, and microwave engineering.
  • Familiarity with H&S regulations such as PUWER, LOLER, and cyber security principles.
  • Ability to work at heights and achieve relevant certifications, along with essential physical fitness.
  • Exceptional diagnostic skills, with a proactive, logical approach and attention to detail.

If you’re ready to take on a challenging, rewarding position where you can make a real impact on maritime safety and innovation, apply today to join this dedicated team. Consortio invites you to bring your expertise to an organization where your skills will be both valued and essential to their mission.
