Our client is a leader in sustainable maritime cargo and load handling with a strong portfolio of products, services, and solutions. Shipbuilders, shipowners, and operators can optimize the lifetime profitability, safety, reliability, and environmental sustainability of their operations by working in close cooperation with our client.

 

Their team is expanding, and we seek to recruit no less than the best Service Engineers to repair and maintain equipment in our client's product range. The purpose of the role is to provide services to our customers, for their ships & fleets, cargo access equipment, and Cargo Cranes among other equipment manufactured by our client or third parties.

The roles are UK-based, ideally with the successful applicant(s) located close to the Liverpool, Newcastle, or Portsmouth regions. However, suitable applicants from outside these areas will be considered. This role requires traveling throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Provide information and present reports as required.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Enable feedback from customers and the service market in general to reach the appropriate organization within our client.
  • Stay up to date with relevant developments, routines, processes, and news within our client's major customers active in the business area.
  • Cooperate with the local service network of our client.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

  • The right to live and work in the UK (kind note: only applications from cadidates with the right to live and work will be considered)
  • Mechanical/Hydraulic/Electronic or other relevant technical education.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in rthe maintenance and repair of ship systems - Mechanical/Hydraulic/Electronic
  • We are looking for someone who ideally has field service experience and proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
