Consortio have partnered with a family run engineering and design company based in the South of England. This company has a varied portfolio working on a range of vessel types from commercial small crafts to luxury yachts. Providing a bespoke engineering and marine design service they are always improving their processes from the structure and the hull up to the way they integrate systems to the interior layout of the vessel. The business continues to expand and they are now looking for a graduate Naval Architect to join their team.

Within this role you will get to support clients by designing the interior and exterior of vessels while ensuring the drawings all adhere to class and flag state rules and regulations. You will be assisting with scope definition and also conducting performance analysis for power and sail boats to ensure they are working at peak performance. You will be involved in the structural design and engineering processes working with composite, steel and aluminum.

To be eligible for this role you need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture.
  • Be a strong team player that can help themselves and colleagues achieve success.
  • 1-3 years of experience ideally.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and Rhino.
  • Great time keeping skills and be able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Maxsurf is considered an asset.
