Our client is a globally recognised organisation operating at the forefront of the energy transition, with a strong presence across Europe, Africa, and international markets. With a growing focus on new energy and decarbonisation, they are investing heavily in offshore wind and are committed to delivering sustainable, large-scale energy solutions through strategic partnerships and innovation.

They are now seeking a Head of Offshore Wind to lead regional business development activity, managing a small team while driving strategy, investment opportunities, and project execution across the offshore wind sector. This role will play a key part in aligning regional initiatives with global strategy, working closely with international stakeholders, and identifying synergies across existing and future projects. The successful candidate will take ownership of commercial proposals, oversee project delivery including budgets and milestones, support high-level strategic initiatives, and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams. The position will also involve contract negotiation, financial oversight, and regular international travel to support business growth and project delivery.

The requirements for this role are:

  • Extensive experience within the offshore wind or wider renewable energy sector

  • Strong background in business development and identifying investment opportunities

  • Proven ability to manage projects commercially from concept through to execution

  • Experience developing and presenting commercial proposals and strategic plans

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally

  • Experience working across international markets and with global teams

  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and project timelines effectively

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience handling contracts

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to operate independently in a dynamic environment

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at a pivotal stage of growth within the offshore wind sector. The role offers a competitive salary, international exposure, and strong long-term career progression within a global business committed to sustainability and innovation.
