Consortio have partnered with an internationally recognized shipping company based in Hamburg. They have 40 years’ experience in the shipping business and are currently expanding. They offer many different services within the shipping and maritime sector and are extremely focused on offering brilliant guest satisfaction ratings. Due to the rapidly expanding team they are currently hiring an Head Waiter.
As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for Managing the service department under supervision of the Maître d’hôtel, Working in accordance with the specified written or verbal instructions given and the duties assigned by his/her superior, Control and enforcement of the quality standards in his/her assigned area of work. Guarantee smooth service operations, obligation to attend during restaurant and buffet service and preparation and correct serving of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
To be eligible for this role you need to:
- Qualified relevant training (diploma)Several years of relevant work experience (documented)
- Excellent knowledge of restaurant service; especially menus, beverages/wine
- Experience in managing complaints, living up to service
- Fluent in spoken English and/or German, depending on the vessel
- Good educational background
