Managing Estimator

My client is hiring for a Managing Estimator in Derby. They are local specialists in the commercial painting and finishing trade and have been around for roughly 40 years. They're a smaller company with a family feel but are part of a larger group, allowing for greater job security and budgets - so this position will provide you with the best of both worlds!

Don't be put off by the title "Managing Estimator" as you won't be responsible for anyone except yourself - you will just need to manage your own work load and client base as you will be the only estimator in the office.

Successful candidates will ideally have experience estimating for a sub-contractor in a relevant trade:

• painting/finishing
• fit out joinery
• interior fit outs/refurbs
• partitioning
• plastering

It’s also crucial you’re confident pricing a range of project values as contract sizes can massively vary.

A full UK driving license is needed, although a company car/car allowance is available as you will need to be able to conduct site visits.
