Our client is a ship owner based in Singapore and has grown to become the largest feeder carrier in the world with their vessels travelling through all major ports.  As an independent carrier they provide transportation services to container ship operators and not to proprietary cargo interests or the general public.  With expansion set to continue they require a Marine Superintendent to support them in Singapore.

Core responsibilities will include overseeing all the nautical, marine and safety parameters of assigned vessels in order to ensure their efficiency and safety.  As well as preparing for external inspections and audits you will also conduct in house vessel inspections and ensure all your officers are complying with industry standards and regulations.  You will also be expected to work alongside the Technical Superintendent in the procurement of marine spares and helping prepare documentation for dry dockings.

Successful candidates

  • Must have prior experience sailing as Master Mariner or Chief Officer on container vessels.

  • Must have excellent knowledge of the English language and communicate to high standards.

  • Should have extensive knowledge of PMS and SMS systems.

  • Happy to live and work in Singapore.

The chosen applicant will be rewarded with a competitive package that includes salary, minimum 2 month bonus and health care.  You will also be given the opportunity to join a fast paced forward thinking ship owner working in a vibrant city.
