About the Role

We are looking for skilled professionals with a strong background in evaluating the design, production, and operational aspects of engineering assets. You should be adept at applying specialized procedures and knowledge to tackle complex and challenging scenarios. Project management experience may also be part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct relevant engineering activities, manage projects, and provide expert advice on service delivery within your specialization, ensuring compliance with budgets and contractual obligations.
  • Deliver high-quality outputs according to set schedules and budgets.
  • Review and monitor the work of others as needed.
  • Present and discuss deliverables with internal and external clients, offering recommendations and solutions.
  • Adhere to internal procedures, accreditation standards, legislation, and industry norms.
  • Engage in Continuous Professional Development to maintain a high level of expertise and awareness.
  • Evaluate and advise on the time and cost implications for external clients, helping to establish suitable fee structures.
  • Mentor and coach colleagues to facilitate effective knowledge transfer and application.
  • Enhance client relationships by improving service delivery based on proactive feedback.
  • Ensure necessary authorizations are obtained and up-to-date, potentially involving Activity Monitoring.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks in line with current processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with the site Project Manager to meet project requirements while maintaining confidentiality of project details.

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering (Marine/Mechanical) or physical sciences from a recognized institution, or qualifications from a marine or nautical institution with relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's officer.
  • Experience with Class surveys and Survey authorizations is advantageous.
  • Membership in a relevant professional institution.
  • Progress towards or achievement of chartered or incorporated engineering status.
  • Commitment to professional codes of conduct and ethical standards as outlined in IMS01.
  • Strong combination of general and specialized engineering knowledge, with the ability to apply both established and emerging technologies.
  • Competency in technical and commercial management, including project and process management.
  • Proficiency in English at a professional level, with knowledge of Italian for client interactions being a plus.
