The organisation is seeking a Marine Surveyor / Expert to support its China-based operations. The successful candidate will carry out independent surveys and inspections across vessels, terminals, and cargo operations, producing accurate and defensible reports for shipowners, insurers, and P&I clubs. This role requires a strong operational mindset, the ability to work autonomously in the field, and a practical understanding of vessel and cargo operations.
The requirements for this role are:
- Fluency in Mandarin, with strong written and spoken English
- A minimum of six months’ experience as a Marine Surveyor
- Maritime background, ideally deck or marine engineering
- Nautical or marine engineering education, or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to work independently and manage time-critical assignments
- Strong analytical, inspection, and reporting skills
- Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekend work
