Core duties will include bunker surveys, container surveys, damage surveys, pre-loading surveys, draft surveys, cargo inspections, on/off-hire surveys and condition surveys. The role will involve the preparation of detailed, professional reports in both English and Spanish, maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders while ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and best practice.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months’ seagoing experience as a Deck Officer or Engineer Officer, or experience within a marine surveying environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of vessel operations, cargo handling procedures and marine fuel operations.
- Ability to carry out inspections independently and produce clear, accurate and structured technical reports.
- Professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Relevant maritime certification such as Officer of the Watch, Chief Mate, Chief Engineer or Master Mariner will be considered advantageous.
