Consortio have partnered with a specialist offshore engineering consultancy recognised for delivering practical, technically robust solutions across complex marine and offshore projects. Built around a collaborative team of naval architects, engineers, and project specialists, the organisation supports clients through the full engineering lifecycle. They are now seeking a Mechanical Design & Project Engineer to join their  team.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute across both technical design and project delivery, supporting offshore and marine engineering scopes from concept development through to fabrication and installation. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the successful candidate will develop offshore equipment designs, perform structural analysis, and support project execution while gaining exposure to client interaction and offshore operations. The position is well suited to structural engineers with FEA experience.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include producing 3D CAD models and fabrication drawings, developing engineering concepts into detailed design packages, and carrying out structural analysis using FEA alongside hand calculations. The role also involves preparing technical documentation and calculation reports, coordinating with suppliers and fabricators, supporting mobilisation and installation activities, and contributing to internal design reviews and project coordination.

  • To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 2–5 years’ relevant engineering experience
  • Strong 3D CAD capability (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD or similar)
  • Experience performing structural analysis using FEA and supporting hand calculations
  • Understanding of mechanical design and structural behaviour principles
  • Ability to produce clear technical reports and documentation
  • Strong communication skills when working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • British Citizen

This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative engineering environment delivering challenging offshore projects with exposure to full project lifecycles and international activities. Please apply or contact Chloe Moffat if you are ready to take your next step.
