Overview
Lead and grow sales for a major shipyard in Spain, specialising in newbuilds, repairs, and conversions. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will secure profitable contracts, develop strategic client relationships, and drive revenue growth in both domestic and international markets.

Key Duties

  • Develop and deliver annual sales strategy with defined revenue and margin targets.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline; ensure accurate forecasting via CRM systems.
  • Lead tendering processes including RFQs, site visits, technical clarifications, pricing, and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with shipowners, managers, brokers, and agents.
  • Identify market opportunities based on dry-docking cycles, regulatory changes, and fleet movements.
  • Represent the shipyard at trade fairs, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Ensure smooth handover from sales to project execution teams.
  • Track and analyse KPIs such as order intake, gross margin, win rate, and key account growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or marine equipment/services.
  • Demonstrated success in securing high-value contracts in the maritime sector.
  • Strong technical understanding of repair scopes, newbuild processes, class requirements, and marine systems.
  • Skilled negotiator with solid commercial acumen.
  • Fluent in Spanish and professional-level English.
  • Proficient in CRM tools with a data-driven approach.
  • Willingness to travel 30–40% within Spain and internationally.
